There’s a reason Madonna named her latest album Rebel Heart: She does what she wants, when she wants.

Last night in Glasgow, the last date of her European Rebel Heart tour, the pop singer refused to let the SSE Hydro’s curfew keep her from properly finishing her set. Despite the venue’s staff cutting off both her sound and lights, she knocked out an encore performance of her classic ’80s hit “Holiday”, much to the delight of her Scottish fans.

“We don’t stop till it’s over Glasgow!” Madonna wrote on Instagram. “Don’t try to silence the Queen.”

In a statement today, SSE Hydro addressed the concert. “Madonna finished the agreed set and then chose to come on for another song,” adding, “By that stage, all the power and control equipment had already been disconnected by the production teams.”

After proclaiming her love for the city, in another post, she offered a cheeky comment, saying, “I don’t smoke but I like to start fires.”
