FX’s Fargo has made quite a name for itself. Not only is it one of those rare cases where a film is able to transition to TV and still be compelling, but it also has attracted quite a roster of musicians to cover classic songs for the show. Even better, the tunes chosen usually have some connection the the Coen Brothers’ films. White Denim covered Kenny Roggers’ “Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)” (from the dream sequence in The Big Lebowski) or Jeff Tweedy performed “Let’s Find Each Other Tonight”, which musician Jose Feliciano actually performed in the movie Fargo.

For this week’s episode, Spoon frontman Britt Daniel turned in his take on the Credence Clearwater Revival classic “Run Through the Jungle”. Daniel kept it acoustic, fiercely strumming away at his six string while he delivers a throaty rendition of the track the Coens originally used in Lebowksi. It’s a driven cover filled with spit and fury, and you can take a listen below.
