Rihanna and Drake do “Work” on new collaborative single — listen

on January 27, 2016, 8:05am

When Rihanna and Drake team up, a hit single usually follows. The Barbados R&B goddess and Toronto rapper previously came together for Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?” and Drake’s “Take Care”. Now, as Rhi Rhi readies the release of her long-awaited new album Anti, she’s called on Drizzy Drake once again, this time for a collaborative single entitled “Work”. Listen to the track via TIDAL, or below via Rapdose.

“If I get another chance to, I won’t ever, no never neglect you,” Rihanna can be heard promising, her vocals somberly flowing over a minimalist, dancehall-inspired production helmed by longtime Drake collaborator Boi-1da. “What can I say? Recognize that I’m trying.”

Mr. OVO, meanwhile, is in his comfort zone on the sparse, woeful ballad (you could almost say it’s a very Drake track) — he’s been through the wringer (and put his own significant others through ’em, too), all in the name of love. “When I see potential, I got to see it through,” he raps. “I spilled all my emotions tonight.”

“Work” serves as the latest single off Anti, which is expected to surface sometime this week. It follows previous teaser tracks including “Bitch Better Have My Money”,“American Oxygen”, and “FourFiveSeconds”.
