Jay Electronica disses 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar on “#TBE The Curse of Mayweather” — listen

Jay Electronica and 50 Cent have been embroiled in some low-key beef the last few weeks, but everything’s finally come to a head on Jay’s epic diss track “#TBE The Curse of Mayweather”.

It all started earlier this month when Jay offered his not-so-nice thoughts on 50 Cent’s current career. “50 Cent at once, he was a good rapper,” he said on Periscope. “Right now he got the potential to be a rapper but he’s on some sucker shit … and we will slap 50 Cent’s eyeballs loose out his scalp.” 50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III, didn’t reply directly to the insults, but on Instagram nonchalantly threw some shade by claiming he didn’t know even know who Jay Electronica was.

On “#TBE The Curse of Mayweather”, Jay hits back and goes all in. “This is blasphemy, James, this is blasphemy,” the New Orleans MC growls. “I gave that little cockroach life and he blasted me … It’s World War 3, motherfucker. Watch the throne.” It’s hard to imagine 50 won’t take notice this time around.

Elsewhere on the track, Jay continues to take jabs at Kendrick Lamar, who he had also dissed on Periscope, calling out K-Dot’s Grammy nominations. “He’s got 11 Grammy nominations, ya’ll not equal’/ Man, fuck these white people/ My grandmother died at 82, scrubbing floors/ And niggas still running around, beggin’ for awards.”

Jay also took to Twitter to warn 50 and all his other haters. “Aint nobody safe no more. Either you with me or against me.”
