Sensual crooner Miguel made waves last summer when he released his third studio album, Wildheart, a sexy epic that solidified his stature as a rising star in R&B. Last night, the L.A. native made the short trip down the street to appear as James Corden’s musical guest on The Late Late Show. His stirring performance featured Wildheart hit “Waves”, but it might be just as memorable for something — or someone — it lacked.
Ever since a picture of the two appeared on Instagram last week, there had been rumors swirling that country singer Kacey Musgraves would be accompanying Miguel on the late-night stage. Those rumors ultimately turned out to be false, but Miguel proved more than capable of putting on a show all on his own.
Check out the performance and his brief interview with Corden below.
Tomorrow, Miguel will release a new remix collection called Rogue Waves, featuring Musgraves, Tame Impala, and others.
