Netflix debuts first trailer for its Full House sequel — watch

on February 09, 2016, 11:26am

Netflix has finally shared the first full-length trailer for its upcoming Full House sequel, Fuller House. Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner), Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler), and Candace Cameron Bure (D.J. Tanner-Fuller) appeared on Ellen to share the preview, and you could tell they were just as excited as the fans.

“I love this show so much,” exclaimed a giddy Barber after the preview aired. The girls were all smiles as the nostalgia-rife trailer debuted, and who wouldn’t be? All the “have mercies” and “cut-it-outs” are there. There’s even a “how rude,” though not from the source you might expect. Believe it or not, the trailer manages a few moments of sitcom worthy chuckles without being self-referential, too.

There’s also a plot established, with newly-widowed D.J. struggling to get a handle on being a single mom raising three young boys. When her sister and best friend move in, the family comes together to help D.J. take care of her kids while also taking care of herself. But with Gibbler bringing her own 13-year-old daughter Ramona (Soni Nicole Bringas), and Uncle Jessie (John Stamos), Uncle Joey (Dave Coulier), and dad Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) also in the mix, well, you can see where the show gets its title.

Check out the trailer, plus a brief interview with the three leading ladies, below.

Fuller House, which also stars Lori Loughlin as Aunt Rebecca, Michael Campion as 13-year-old Jackson, Elias Harger as 7-year-old Elias, and (yep) twins Dashiell and Fox Messitt as infant Tommy, Jr., premieres February 26th on Netflix. The Olsen twins (Michelle) are not involved, and neither is their sister Elizabeth.
