Violent Femmes are gearing up to put out We Can Do Anything, the long-awaited follow-up to 2000’s Freak Magnet. To support the comeback LP, the veteran alt rockers returned to the late-night stage for the first time in 16 years on Tuesday.
In top form as though they’d never disappeared, Violent Femmes rocked the Late Show stage with an exuberant performance of new single “Memory” . In a web exclusive, the Midwesterners also revisited their 1983 hit “Blister in the Sun” with the help of host Stephen Colbert.
