Violent Soho make a mess of their video for “Viceroy” — watch

on February 25, 2016, 12:40pm

Alternative rock in all its forms always comes with of a messy lifestyle, perhaps no sub-genre more so than grunge. In Violent Soho’s new video for “Viceroy”, the Australian band show just how sloppy they can be. The steady-shot video takes place on a soundstage with junk strewn about in the way that most parents fear their children’s college dorms look like. Empty pizza boxes, skateboards, paper streamers, and half-broken TVs litter the floor. But the band couldn’t care less; they’ll play drums with wooden spoons if they have to, because as they say in the song, life is temporary. Might as well make a mess of it.

Check out the video below,

“Viceroy” is off the band’s upcoming fourth studio album, Waco, out March 18th via I Oh You. Listen to another album track, “Like Soda”, and pre-order the record here.
