Death Grips release bizarre video dubbed “Interview 2016” — watch

on March 14, 2016, 10:25am

Last month, Death Grips let loose “Hot Head”, presumably the first taste of their upcoming album Bottomless Pit. Now, the group has shared a new video.

Dubbed “Interview 2016”, the whopping 32-minute clip conspicuously doesn’t include any such interview audio. Instead, the footage — which sees “Tuesdays with Matthew” host Matthew Hoffman interview Death Grips members — is soundtracked by bizarre, pummeling instrumental music. Toward the end, the sound disappears entirely.

It’s unclear if the composition will appear on Bottomless Pit, but the visual’s accompanying YouTube description notes that it was directed by the band, and Sean Metelerkamp and Christopher Bisset were behind the cameras. Check it out below.

Death Grips’ last full-length was 2015’s jenny death.
