Update: Janet Jackson postpones world tour

on March 08, 2016, 8:55am

Janet Jackson has postponed her upcoming leg of UK/European tour dates just weeks before she was set to hit the stage. BBC News reports that shows in the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, and elsewhere have been put on hold until further notice.

This is the second major postponement of Jackson’s world tour in support of her 2015 album, Unbreakable. In December, the 49-year-old pop star delayed the start of her American tour after undergoing emergency surgery for an undisclosed medical condition. Rumors that she was battling cancer soon surfaced, but were promptly squashed, and Jackson has since rescheduled the American shows for later this spring and summer.

Update – Wednesday, April 6th at 8:45 a.m. CT: As revealed today, Jackson postponed the entire tour so that she and her husband could start a family, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
