Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo was streamed 250 million times in its first 10 days of release

Kanye West claims to be the greatest living rock star, and with numbers like these it’s hard to argue otherwise. As Billboard reports, TIDAL has shared the streaming data for Kanye’s “living breathing changing creative expression,” The Life of Pablo; in its first 10 days of release, the album surpassed a mind-numbing total of 250 million streams. And that doesn’t account for the millions of people who download the album illegally.

Tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary since TIDAL’s relaunch, and the high-fidelity streaming service claims to have added 2.5 million paid subscribers since then. Presumambly, a large chunk of those can be attributed to The Life of Pablo, which remains available exclusively through TIDAL, and which was still being tinkered with as recently as last week.

Earlier this week, Kanye serviced the album’s lead single, “Famous”, available on other streaming platforms for the first time. However, it remains to be seen whether the full album will ever end up on Spotify or Apple Music.

Listen to “Famous” below.
