The Last Shadow Puppets unveil new song/video “Aviation” — watch

on March 16, 2016, 11:10am

Last week, The Last Shadow Puppets released the audio and video for “Everything You’ve Come to Expect”, the title track to their upcoming sophomore LP. Now, the collaborative duo of Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner and Miles Kane have broken off another preview in opening track “Aviation”.

Backed by somber strings, the new offering plays out like the soundtrack to a tale of dangerous love. Its accompanying video, also released today, seems to echo this sentiment. Something of a sequel to the “Everything You’ve Come to Expect” clip, it’s set on the beach and features a crying bride and both Turner and Kane in peril. Saam Farahmand (The xx, Klaxons) served as director for “Everything You’ve Come to Expect” and does so again here.

Check it out below.

The new album, which follows 2008’s The Age of the Understatement, arrives on April 1st via Domino. For more, tune into lead single “Bad Habits”.
