Car Seat Headrest, the project of prolific Seattle songwriter Will Toledo, is just a few weeks away from the release of new album Teens of Denial. Already we’ve heard a handful of its cuts, including “Fill in the Blank” and “Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales”. Today, he returns with another new recording, but instead of mining his own discography, he digs into Radiohead’s.
As Pitchfork points out, Toledo has shared a cover of the band’s Amnesiac track “Pyramid Song”. On his Tumblr page, he described it as “sloppy flamenco with missing string and AIM accompaniment,” which, though a fun and vivid illustration, doesn’t do the rendition justice.
For reference, here’s the original:
Teens of Denial is due out May 20th through Matador.
Radiohead, meanwhile, are rumored to be releasing their new album in June.
