Twin Peaks unveil new song “I Don’t Want to Miss You” — listen

on April 29, 2016, 2:35pm

Record Store Day has come and gone, but Twin Peaks have a new 7-inch on the way that’s exclusive to independent vinyl shops. The special release will come packaged with the band’s upcoming album Down in Heaven and includes two songs, “I Don’t Want to Miss You” and “Disappear”.

Today, the CoSigned garage rockers have shared a vinyl rip of the former. It’s a quick hitter of a cut, 60 seconds of slowly tumbling guitars. Like their previous singles “Butterfly” and “Walk to the One You Love”, it’s just begging to be performed in a musty, dusty saloon while onlookers take a couple swigs of whiskey.

The Chicago outfit has offered up this statement on the release:

Our new album Down In Heaven is out 5/13. We love vinyl, we love small businesses, so we like to work with record stores…. SO, we made an exclusive version of the album featuring a 7″ with two songs you can’t get anywhere else but local record stores. This is the A-side, “I Don’t Want To Miss You.” Call your local record shop to see if they’re ordering a copy for you. #‎runitagain
