Car Seat Headrest was recently forced to recall thousands of copies of new album Teens of Denial due to an unauthorized Ric Ocasek sample. The minor setback hasn’t stopped the singer-songwriter, born Will Toledo, from forging on with his months-long tour behind the LP, however.

In fact, during his Philadelphia gig on Sunday, he surprised the audience with a cover of Radiohead’s “Paranoid Android”. Toledo, aka the indie rock hero we’ve all been waiting for, slowed the OK Computer classic down to a more glacial pace and layered on additional hazy atmospherics. Between this and his previous “sloppy flamenco” rendition of “Pyramid Song”, Toledo must have gotten Thom Yorke’s attention by now.

Check it out above (the cover is melded with his own original “Vincent” track).

Update: As Stereogum points out, Toledo also tackled Sufjan Stevens’ The Age of Adz track “Impossible Soul” at the same show.
