Jurassic Park! Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon reunite for The Trip to Spain

on May 15, 2016, 9:10pm

Come, come Mr. Bond: Steve Coogan, Rob Brydon, and director Michael Winterbottom are back for a third outing across Europe. This time around, they’re setting their eyes (and stomachs) on Spain.

Scheduled to shoot later this year, The Trip to Spain will once again find the two comics playing sensationalized versions of themselves as they dine around Cantabria, the Basque region, Aragon, Rioja, Castile-La Mancha and Andalusia.

Don’t get too excited just yet. Similar to 2010’s The Trip and 2014’s The Trip to Italy, Sky TV will first broadcast the entire series, which will then be re-edited for distribution stateside and elsewhere.

“Having thought long and hard about yet another sojourn into culinary distractions and middle age, I have reluctantly agreed to Y viva Espana,” Coogan told NME. “I have a hole in my diary, there will be free food and accommodation and Rob Brydon is surprisingly good company. I also like Michael.”

Odds are we’ll join Coogan and Brydon sometime in 2017. Fingers crossed Hopkins hops on board…
