Stream: The Strokes’ new Future Present Past EP

on May 26, 2016, 3:42pm

Well, that didn’t take long. The Strokes just announced their Future Present Past EP earlier today, and slowly revealed each of the effort’s three new tracks — “OBLIVIUS”“Drag Queen”, and “Threat of Joy” — over the succeeding hours. Now, they’ve made the entire thing available to stream via Spotify.

In addition to the already released tracks, the stream features a remix of “OBLIVIUS” by drummer Fab Moretti. Listen to the whole thing below.

Officially out June 3rd via Julian Casablancas’ own Cult Records, pre-orders for Future Present Past are going on now. The 10-inch vinyl pre-ordered through the website will be red, while the vinyl shipped to independent retailers will be blue.

In addition, The Strokes and Cult Records will hold a pop-up shop in New York City beginning Memorial Day, Monday, May 30th through Sunday, June 5th. The “curated” store will be located at 352 Bowery at Great Jones Street in the East Village. Opening hours will be from noon to 9:00 PM save for the Future Present Past release sale on midnight of Thursday, June 2nd. Special guest DJ sets will be announced soon.
