Whereas most bands simply upload an .mp4 file to YouTube, Kanye West’s music video premieres are quite the spectacle. He projected the visuals for “New Slaves” on famous venues across the world; he screened the Steven McQueen’s short film for “All Day” at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; and when it came to the video for “Bound 2”, he visited Ellen. Now, he’s ready to unleash a video for The Life of Pablo track “Famous”, and he’s asking fans to pony up $25 a ticket to attend the premiere in person.
On Friday afternoon, Kanye will screen his “groundbreaking visual” for “Famous” at the 17,500-capacity Forum in Los Angeles. Tickets to the event go on sale Thursday at 10:00 a.m. PST. However, $25 entry only gets you inside the door — exclusive new merchandise created especially for the event will be on sale.
For those who would rather save their cash on an actual Kanye West concert, the event will also be streamed live on TIDAL beginning at 4 p.m. EST / 1:00 a.m. PST.
