Kanye West’s video game met with tepid response at E3

on June 13, 2016, 1:15pm

Kanye West’s creativity knows no bounds, so it should come as no surprise that the rapper-turned-fashion mogul is now looking to make his mark in the video game industry. Back in February, Kanye gave fans the first look at Only One. “The idea of the game is my mom traveling through the gates of heaven,” he explained.

Today, the game’s developer, Encyclopedia Pictura, formally introduced Only One at E3. The response was tepid at best:

According to Encyclopedia Pictura’s website, the game has been in production since 2015 under the direction of Isaiah Saxon and Sean Hellfritsch. There’s still no word on when the game will be released or what platform it will be playable on. We reached out to Encyclopedia Pictura for more details and will let you know when we hear back.

Update: Reached for comment, Encyclopedia Pictura said the game will be available on mobile platforms. A release date has not been set.

Encylopedia Pictura is also behind Panda Bear’s video for “Boys Latin”.
