Split your mind open with trailer for Rob Zombie’s 31 — watch

on June 14, 2016, 3:15pm

Rob Zombie loves two things as a director: gore and carnival tropes. There’s plenty of both in his latest horror romp, 31. The story finds a quintet of carnival workers — including Zombie’s ever present wife, Sheri Moon Zombie — picked up by a gang of psychos the night before Halloween. When they wake up, they find themselves trapped in a twisted game of life and death conducted by Malcolm McDowell’s Father Murder.

Over 12 hellish hours, the terrified victims are dropped into different “death chambers” housed in a massive mansion. In each one, they must face off against bloodthirsty freaks like Sex-Head (Elizabeth Daily), Death-Head (Torsten Voges), Psycho-Head (Lew Temple), and the manic Doom-Head (Richard Brake).

The film will be released on VOD on September 16th and in theaters on October 21st. Watch the first trailer above, and revisit Michael Roffman’s not-so-flattering review here.
