Stephen Colbert is mad Kanye West cut him out of the “Famous” video — watch

on June 28, 2016, 11:50am

Kanye West’s video for “Famous” has stirred up quite a bit of controversy in the days since its release. Former President George W. Bush, whose wax decoy is featured in the clip, took shots at the video’s accuracy. Lena Dunham, who isn’t in the clip at all, found a way to turn it into a comment on rape culture. Late Show host Stephen Colbert also took issue with West’s artistic license, but for a much more selfish reason: He was cut out of the final video!

Thankfully, Colbert was able to retain a copy of the full, uncut version of “Famous” which he aired last night during his show. You can check it out above, and stay tuned for more; Colbert is threatening to sue West for leaving him out of the video, something that could be playing right into the hands of the rapper, who said in a now deleted tweet, “Can somebody sue me already #I’llwait.”  Leave it to Colbert to step up to the challenge.
