Meat Loaf collapsed on stage during a concert in Edmonton on Thursday night, according to CBC News.

The 68-year-old singer, aka Michael Lee Aday, was taken by ambulance to an area hospital. His condition is currently unclear.

Update: Meat Loaf is “stable and in good condition,” according to a representative. A subsequent statement posted to Facebook reveals that the singer suffered from severe dehydration. “He was admitted to a nearby hospital to undergo routine tests. His vital signs are stable and normal — additional tests are being performed but he is responsive and recovering well. “He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone’s support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery.”

Earlier this week, Meat Loaf canceled a string of shows due to an undisclosed illness

Video posted to social media shows the moment Meat Loaf collapses. Stage hands quickly come to his aid and the band immediately stops playing.
