How To Dress Well announces new album, Care, shares “Lost Youth/Lost You” video — watch

on July 27, 2016, 10:20am

After posting a teaser to Instagram earlier this week, How To Dress Well has announced details of his new album. It’s titled Care and expected to hit stores on September 23rd through Weird World/Domino.

Care marks Tom Krell’s fourth studio effort to date following What Is This Heart? in 2014. Spanning 11, the LP was written in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York with assistance from a wide range of co-producers, including Jack Antonoff of Bleachers/fun., dancehall beatsmith Dre Skull, Montreal’s CFCF, and Tim Hecker affiliate Kara-Lis Coverdale.

An official statement describes Care as “an intimate album that goes big, filled with stadium-sized choruses, rollicking guitar solos, vocal tenderness, and Celine Dion-inspired melodies,” adding that it contains “radio-ready hooks refracted through the How To Dress Well lens” and lyrics that find Krell at his “most vibrant, curious, and celebratory.”

Our first taste of Care comes courtesy of “Lost Youth/Lost You”, an airy ballad helmed with the help of Antonoff. Check it out above via its hazy, purple-hued music video directed by Ben Tricklebank.
