Jamie xx unveils epic new video for “Gosh” — watch

on July 01, 2016, 10:20am

A little over a year ago, Jamie xx released a tranquil, celestial music video for his In Colour track “Gosh”. But maybe because it was one of the best songs of 2015, the electronic producer has decided to go back and take another shot at the song’s visuals. This time, he teamed with acclaimed director Romain Gavras (Kanye West & Jay Z’s “No Church in the Wild”, M.I.A.’s “Bad Girls” and “Born Free”) for an eerie clip of epic scale.

Filmed in China’s creepy Tianducheng — an exact replica of Paris boasting a scale replica of the Eiffel Tower — the film features 400 actors and, according to a press release, not a single drop of CGI or 3D modeling. That means they gave all those Chinese kids the exact same blonde-dyed bowl cut so they could worship at the feet of the albinos. Okay, so that sounds a bit strange, but just watch the video above and you’ll get it.
