Prophets of Rage make their emphatic TV debut on Kimmel — watch

on July 26, 2016, 11:15am

Prophets of Rage made their TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel on Monday night. They performed a one-two punch of “Prophets of Rage”, their debut single, and Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name”. And it was nothing short of ferocious.

“The cold embers of Rage Against the Machine are now the burning fire of Prophets of Rage,” Tom Morello previously said of the supergroup, which is rounded out by RATM bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk along with Chuck D of Public Enemy and Cypress Hill’s B-Real. “Where Rage Against the Machine lives, is this summer in these songs that we are playing.” Morello wasn’t kidding — as the band launched into the RATM classic, the Kimmel! crowd went into full berserk mode and even formed a pit.
