Alex Turner has a difficult time hiding his love for Australian psych rockers Tame Impala, whether he’s dancing to their set at Glastonbury or covering their songs in the studio. As NME first reported, Turner found a new way to express his affection for Kevin Parker and Co. During The Last Shadow Puppets’ set at Open’er Festival in Gdynia, Poland, he and bandmate Miles Kane improvised a song about Tame Impala while dark clouds formed on the horizon. “There’s a storm brewing in the form of Tame Impala,” the lyrics went, though let’s be honest: That storm has been raging hard since the group released Currents last summer. Check out video of the Puppets’ new tune above, and the next time you’re planning what to wear, keep in mind that Kevin Parker controls the weather systems.
