MF Doom and Kool Keith name-drop X-Men, Spider-Man on collaborative song “Super Hero” — listen

on August 16, 2016, 4:36pm

Though usually elusive, MF Doom has made a habit of emerging every few months as of late. Last September, he teamed up with Madlib (“Knock Knock”) and reactivated his collaborative project with Ghostface Killah, DOOMSTARKS, on “Lively Hood”; meanwhile, this year has seen him contribute to new albums from The Avalanches and Atmosphere.

This week, he resurfaces once again to hop on “Super Hero”, the latest track off Kool Keith’s new album, Feature Magnetic. It’s a foreboding cut that includes boastful bars (“It’s superhero vision, sonic listen”) and — as to be expected from someone who took his name from Doctor Doom — a handful of Marvel Comics references including X-Men, Spider-Man, and Doctor Octopus.
