Life on the road is no doubt a tiring one — just ask Isaac Brock. Just days after wrapping up Modest Mouse’s joint headlining tour with Brand New in Portland, Oregon, the tuckered frontman fell asleep at the wheel of his car and caused a four-car pile-up.
Police told The Oregonian that Brock drove across the Morrison Bridge and failed to stop on the other side, hitting “the rear of a City of Portland Parks pick-up-truck, which hit a Subaru, which hit another Subaru, which likely hit a 5th car that left the scene (perhaps not knowing it had been tapped).”
According to TMZ, Brock’s sternum was bruised by the deployed airbag, and another driver was sent to the hospital with a concussion. “I feel asleep at the wheel, nodded off and next thing I knew there was a car,” Brock told the gossip mag. He was checked for signs of intoxication before being cited for careless driving.
In short: Brock slammed his car into a Parks truck the other day; no one was seriously injured — well, sometimes life’s okay.
