Paul Banks and RZA make their TV debut as Banks & Steelz on Fallon — watch

This past May, Interpol frontman Paul Banks and Wu-Tang Clan rapper RZA combined their talents to form the indie rock/hip-hop super duo Banks & Steelz. They put out their first album under the alias, Anything But Words, last week, and in support, appeared on Tuesday evening’s The Tonight Show for their TV debut.

“The outcome was something distinctively different from my previous work, yet with another layer of cool,” RZA previously said of their collaborative album, which they brainstormed together while “playing chess and vibing out in the studio.” While performing shadowy LP cut “Giant” onstage, the pair did exude a certain cool confidence as well as a surprisingly natural chemistry. (It also looks like RZA’s taken a cue from Interpol’s wardrobe.)
