Stephen Colbert inserts himself into Beyoncé’s VMAs performance — watch

on August 30, 2016, 10:50am

Beyoncé’s appearance at this year’s MTV VMAs was one for the history books (regardless of what Faux News thinks). Not only did she become the artist with the most all-time Moon Man wins, but she delivered a performance that could go down as one of the award show’s best ever. As near perfect as the medley was, The Late Show host Stephen Colbert decided to improve it as only he can: by inserting himself into the proceedings.

Much as he did with Kanye West’s “Famous” video, Colbert edited himself into Bey’s performance to help fill in some of the gaps. Wearing the very same outfit as the pop star, Colbert finished Beyoncé’s thoughts: “But doors lead to trap doors. A stairway leads to nothing,” she said. “I had to climb out the window just to get to work this morning. It’s ridiculous,” he continued.
