Guns N’ Roses’ Not in This Lifetime Tour reunites Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan on stage for the first time in 23 years. However, two members of the band’s core lineup are noticeably absent; drummer Steven Adler was sidelined by a last-minute back surgery, though he has popped up as a surprise guest on a few occasions. The same cannot be said for guitarist Izzy Stradlin.
Recently, Axl and Duff sat down for their first televised interview since reuniting, and they were asked whether Stradlin might rejoin his bandmates at some point in the future. “I don’t even know what to say,” Axl responded. “We make arrangements and then he goes and does other things. With Izzy you never know what to expect.”
Stradlin has a different explanation, however. In a tweet posted Wednesday, Stradlin called Rose’s comments “bullshit,” adding, “They didn’t want to split the loot equally. Simple as that. Moving right along……..”
You really didn’t expect Guns N’ Roses to get through their entire reunion without a bit of drama, did you?
