Jack White ends live hiatus for first-ever solo acoustic TV performance

on September 02, 2016, 6:00pm

Jack White has scheduled his return to the live stage.

Next Friday, September 9th, White will release his new acoustic rarities compilation. That evening, he’ll support the LP with a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Update: White will also appear on series premiere of Later… with Jools Holland, set for Tuesday, September 13th.

Not only will it mark White’s first-ever solo acoustic TV performance, but one of the rare instance he’s returned to the stage since embarking on a live hiatus in April 2015. (With the lone exceptions being a TV appearance by The Dead Weather in September 2015, and a cameo on ABC’s The Muppets.)

Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016 collects acoustic versions of tracks from all across his discography, including material from The White StripesThe Raconteurs, and his solo projects — some never unearthed until now. Below, listen to the latest teaser, a stripped-down take on The Raconteurs’ “Carolina Drama”.
