King of Leon stream new album WALLS, announce 2017 tour dates

on October 14, 2016, 11:15am

Today, Kings of Leon have released their new album, WALLS.  It’s available on all the usual streaming platforms; users of Apple Music and Spotify can listen below.

WALLS is the seventh studio effort from Kings of Leon and the follow-up to 2013’s Mechanical BullIts 10 tracks were produced by Markus Dravs (Arcade Fire, Coldplay, Florence and the Machine) and recorded at Henson Recording Studios in Hollywood — a marked difference in scenery compared to the band’s Southeastern roots.

“We said, ‘Let’s fucking go to L.A., eat some sushi, get some sunshine,’” frontman Caleb Followill previously told Billboard. “The whole thing just felt a lot more organic.”

In his review of the album, our own Dan Caffrey wrote: “Even if WALLS doesn’t live up to the marketing’s promise of completely redefining Kings of Leon’s sound, it at least finds them at ease with themselves.”
