Back in May, Chris Martin addressed the Coldplay breakup rumors, saying that though the band would remain together, A Head Full of Dreams could be its last “conventional” album. The Brits’ new, supposedly unorthodox approach to releases apparently doesn’t apply to EPs, however, as they’re gearing up to issue a new one called Kaleidoscope in 2017.
“Hello everyone, we’re working on some new songs for next year,” reads a tweet posted to the band’s account today. “It’s called the Kaleidoscope ep. We hope you’re well.” The upcoming collection will presumably be anchored by A Head Hull of Dreams cut “Kaleidoscope” in much the same way Coldplay’s previous EP, 2014’s A Sky Full of Stars, was highlighted by the Ghost Stories single of the same name.
