Temple of the Dog perform unreleased song “Missing” — watch

on November 06, 2016, 12:48pm

Reunited grunge supergroup Temple of the Dog returned to the stage at Tower Theater on Saturday night for their second of two shows in Philadelphia. While the evening’s setlist included many of the same songs performed the night before, there was one major surprise. To kick off the second encore, the band performed a previously unheard Chris Cornell-penned song called “Missing”. As Cornell explained prior to the performance, the song dates back to the early 90s, written around the same time as “Spoonman” and “Seasons”. As the band hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a new album, perhaps this is our first taste of Temple of Dog’s sophomore effort? Watch the fan-shot footage above.

Also during last night’s show, Temple of the Dog covered Mad Season’s “River of Deceit”.
