Disney announces DuckTales revival cast by having them sing the theme song

on December 16, 2016, 2:20pm

The quack pack is back, and they’re bringing some serious voice talent this time around. With Disney XD’s animated DuckTales revival premiering in summer 2017, we finally have our first look at the actors who will be voicing Huey, Dewey, Louie, and the comedy’s other web-footed cast members. The actors announced themselves via a video in which they join together and sing the show’s beloved theme song, which children of the ’80s and ’90s should have no trouble remembering.

Playing the three Duck brothers will be Community‘s Danny Pudi (Huey), Parks and Recreation‘s Ben Schwartz (Dewey), and longtime SNL cast member Bobby Moynihan (Louie). Joining them on their globe-trotting adventures will be former Dr. Who David Tennant as the cantankerous Scrooge McDuck, which is as great a bit of casting as we’ve seen in a long time. Other notable cast members include Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack, Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley, and Kate Micucci as Webby Vanderquack, to which we can only say: A woo-ooo.

Update – March 2nd: Watch a teaser trailer for the reboot below.
