Lorde resurfaces to cover Robyn at Ally Coalition LGBTQ benefit — watch

Last night, The Ally Coalition held their third annual benefit concert and raised over $100,000 in support of homeless LGBTQ youth. The fun. and Rachel Antonoff-founded charity called upon scheduled performers Lauren Mayberry of CHVRCHESCarly Rae Jepsen, Charli XCX, and more to add their voices to cause throughout the night, but the evening’s biggest moment was the surprise appearance of reclusive Lorde, who took the stage to perform Robyn’s “Hang With Me” before telling the crowd she’d see everyone soon — most likely in reference to her forthcoming album, which she detailed last month in a Facebook post.

Other performances included Carly Rae Jepsen’s acoustic rendition of “Run Away With You” and Lauren Mayberry’s covers of Katy Perry’s “Firework” and Joni Mitchell’s “Case of You”. To close out the night, everyone came on stage to sing Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your Own Way”. Watch video from the concert below.
