The Hold Steady dust off “Most People Are DJs” on Seth Meyers — watch

on December 07, 2016, 10:40am

The Hold Steady have spent much of 2016 revisiting their stellar catalog. In addition to reissuing their first two albums, 2004’s Almost Killed Me and 2005’s Separation Sunday, Craig Finn & co. recently commemorated the 10th anniversary of Boys and Girls in America with a four-night residency at the Brooklyn Bowl.

The band continued its victory lap on Monday with a Late Night performance of Almost Killed Me cut “Most People Are DJs”. Though it’s rare for a group to highlight decade-old material in a late-night performance, there’s no denying that The Hold Steady sound as fresh as ever with keyboardist Franz Nicolay back in the fold after a prolonged absence. Watch the band celebrate their reunion in typical raucous style the video above.
