The Shins previewed their upcoming fifth album, Heartworms, by debuting “Name For You” and “The Fear”. They also performed “Gone For Good” and “St. Simon” from their 2003 album, Chutes Too Narrow,
Near the end of the episode, Spektor and The Shins’ James Mercer joined host Chris Thile in performing the traditional Appalachian folk song, “In the Pines”.
