The xx return with new album, I See You: Stream/download

on January 12, 2017, 11:10pm

London pop trio The xx have finally returned from an extended break following their 2012 sophomore album Coexist and subsequent world tour. Today, the group’s third album, I See You, receives its release from Young Turks. Subscribers of Apple Music and Spotify can stream in full below.

I See You finds longtime friends Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim, and Jamie Smith pursuing a more playfully experimental sound than on previous efforts. The album is clearly influenced by Smith’s 2015 solo debut as Jamie xx, the outstanding In Colour. Standout tracks include lead single “On Hold” and the rousing, brass-inflected album opener “Dangerous”.

In support of the release, The xx will soon head out on an extensive tour, including US festival appearances at Coachella, BonnarooShaky Knees, and Boston Calling.
