On any given day, chances are Chaz Bundick is working on new material for one of his many projects. There are his various monikers, including Toro Y Moi, Les Sins and Sides of Chaz, as well as collaborations with The Avalanches and Mattson 2. Despite his busy schedule, though, Bundick’s found time to contribute to the anti-Trump compilation Our First 100 Days.
Whereas a few participating musicians have offered up politically-charged songs (see: yesterday’s submission from The Antlers’ Peter Silberman), Bundick’s “Omaha” is a pretty straightforward piece of new music under his Toro Y Moi brand. That’s hardly a knock — it’s been sometime since we’ve heard anything Toro-related, and this dreamy cut’s got a tad more groove and soul than the chillwave we’ve grown accustomed to from Bundick.

Proceeds from Our First 100 Days will benefit organizations “working on the front lines of climate, women’s rights, immigration and fairness.” Head here for more info on the release.
