Chris Difford, founding member of legendary new wave group Squeeze, joins Kyle Meredith With… to talk about the band’s breakthrough sophomore record Cool For Cats for it’s 40th anniversary. Difford also talks about Squeeze’s upcoming Songbook Tour, an upcoming set of covers of the band from everyone from Questlove to Erykah Badu, and ultimately reflects on being compared to Lennon and McCartney with his co-songwriter Glenn Tilbrook.

Kyle Meredith With… is an interview series in which WFPK’s Kyle Meredith speaks to a wide breadth of musicians. Each episode, Meredith digs deep into an artist’s work to find out how the music is made and where their journey is going, from legendary artists like Robert Plant, Paul McCartney, U2 and Bryan Ferry, to the newer class of The National, St. Vincent, Arctic Monkeys, Haim, and Father John Misty.
