Fever 333 cancel tour dates as singer Jason Aalon Butler battles a “lung condition”

on September 11, 2019, 2:02pm

Fever 333 have been forced to cancel their headlining North American tour dates as singer Jason Aalon Butler is suffering “complications from a lung condition.”

The sociopolitical band was supposed to launch the outing this coming Monday, September 16th, in Houston, Texas, having just finished a run opening for Korn and Alice in Chains. The headlining jaunt was slated to run through an October 3rd gig in Madison, Wisconsin.

As of now, Fever 333 are still scheduled to play a number of October festival gigs, starting with a radio fest in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on October 4th. They also have a fall European tour set to kick off on November 1st.

The band released the following statement:

Due to “complications from a lung condition” Jason Aalon Butler has been advised to take a short medical leave from touring. Fever 333 will therefore regretfully take a few weeks off and cancel their September demonstrations. Doctors do not anticipate any further issues, and all remaining dates for 2019 are expected to play as planned. Touring for Fever 333 will resume starting on October 4th in Council Bluffs, IA. The band regrets any inconvenience to their fans and refunds will be available from the point of purchase.

Butler also added his own statement:

“I am already actively targeting the issue with my doctors and we are all certain that I will be back to where I need to be in a few weeks. In the interim I hope you all know I am terribly upset about the inability to perform and share that time with y’all, but promise to make it up ASAP and am making sure I do this now in order to avoid any further significant damage. Thank y’all for always holding me down, even in the less ideal times.”

Up until now, Fever 333 have been a tour de force on the road in 2019, bringing their dynamic live show to clubs and stadiums alike. Their performance at Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio, was one of the most memorable sets at the massive three-day festival.

We caught up with Fever 333 backstage at Sonic Temple, where they spoke with us about their social activism, their debut album Strength in Numb333rs, and more. Watch that interview above.
