Members of Soundgarden, Audioslave, Metallica, Foo Fighters, and Alice in Chains were all in attendance.
“Maybe no one has ever known you,” it reads. “You are twilight and star burn and shade.”
Soundgarden had been scheduled to headline the festival on Friday night.
“Your beautiful voice and beautiful self will always be in my heart,” writes Cornell’s Audioslave bandmate.
The 52-year-old singer’s death was described as “sudden and unexpected.”
Jack Black, Everlast, Vic Mensa, and Jackson Browne also attended the Los Angeles event.
As the band says in a statement, “Bad Presidents make for great music.”
