Former Smashing Pumpkins member has teamed with Michigan doom metal band Grave Next Door.
Ten albums and three decades of melancholy and infinite sadness.
A trove of heart-stung lullabies, life-changing anthems, and face-melting guitar solos.
Plus: Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin perform new single “Solara” and the classic “Bullet with Butterfly Wings”.
Pumpkins frontman says the band “feel very comfortable” moving on without her.
“I think what she did demonstrates why she couldn’t be involved,” Corgan says of his former Smashing Pumpkins bandmate.
“Listen, there’s a time and a place for everything, and this just isn’t the time.”
The existence of the photo was first mentioned by Corgan’s friend and former bandmate, Linda Strawberry, hours before Mancow posted the photo.
In a new interview, Wretzky speaks at length about her relationship with Corgan and her exclusion from Smashing Pumpkins’ reunion tour.
The band’s founding members are reuniting sans Wretzky for an expansive tour.
“…Despite reports, Ms. Wretzky has repeatedly been invited out to play with the group, participate in demo sessions, or at the very least, meet face-to-face, and in each and every instance she always deferred.”
“I think people might be getting sick and tired of being manipulated by Billy,” Wretzky writes in a message posted to Facebook.
