One incident involved R. Kelly pushing his arm into her neck to point she thought she was going to die.
Hulu, the streaming platform after which the theater is named, is currently developing a documentary about Kelly’s history of alleged abuse.
At one point in the song, Kelly admits to being with “older and younger [ladies]” and also makes reference to the ongoing #MuteRKelly campaign.
Breaking down one beautiful, dark, twisted discography.
The streaming platform previously ceased promotion of problematic artists, including R. Kelly and XXXTentacion.
“They shoulda did this shit 30 years ago. It’s too late. The music has been injected into the world,” Kelly says in a speech captured on video.
Meanwhile, the R&B singer is facing a new lawsuit from a woman accusing him of sexual battery, false imprisonment, and failure to disclose an STD.
Like Spotify, the platforms have chosen to remove the singer’s music from its featured playlists.
Spotify says Kelly’s allegations of sexual misconduct violate the company’s new “public hate content and hateful conduct policy.”
“We demand appropriate investigations and inquiries into the allegations of R. Kelly’s abuse made by women and their families for more than two decades now.”
The 19-year-old accuser also says she was “being groomed to join Kelly’s sex cult.”
The R&B singer and alleged sexual predator owed more than $30,000 in late rent payments.
