Drummer John Dolmayan has unveiled a cover of the David Bowie song “Starman” featuring his System of a Down bandmate Serj Tankian on vocals. The track is the latest single from Dolmayan’s upcoming covers album, These Grey Men.
The bag includes access to exclusive music by Tankian via an augmented reality app.
The newest entry in the band’s Foo Files centers around their 2007 album, Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace.
The System of a Down singer previously performed song in concert two years ago.
The two performed at this past weekend’s Sonic Temple.
The track also features contributions from members of Dethklok and Testament.
The collaborations will appear on the next album from Dolmayan’s outfit These Grey Men.
The song is the only track with vocals on the guitarist’s upcoming album, Follow the Light.
