Hurricane and Southside Festivals are twin festivals that take place in Germany every June.They are promoted by German private music television channel VIVA, which belongs to Viacom, the MTV Network’s parent company, as of 2004. The festivals and their guests are generally associated with the alternative part of mainstream music, although the festivals have been becoming more and more mainstream over the years.
