If you haven’t heard, Billy Corgan has gone into the tea business. Yesterday, the Smashing Pumpkins frontman opened his very own teahouse in his hometown of Highland Park, IL. Inspired by the Chinoise teahouses found in Paris during the 1930s, Corgan designed Madame ZuZus to serve “as a social hub for the community, blending tea drinkers with the arts.”
Rock It Out! Blog was there for the grand opening, and had a chance to speak to Corgan about his latest venture. We also discussed if the teahouse would have an impact on his music career, what the future holds for the Pumpkins, and if the band planned to hit the music festival circuit in support of their newest album, Oceania.
